Crystal Maguire
Chair, FCBIA Professional Women in Building Council
President & Owner, Winsupply of Frederick
I grew up in small town Alabama with two hard working parents, who
owned their own business my entire life. I believe that you cannot
buy the entrepreneurial spirit; it is in your roots. I was the first in my
family to go to college where I earned both a bachelors and my
master’s degree from Auburn University (WAR EAGLE!). Prior to
opening Winsupply Frederick, I served as a Logistics Officer in the
United States Army. I was introduced to the Win Family as the first
female Manager In Training, a military veteran to local-company-
owner program. I do not have a background in wholesale, sales, or
electrical contracting prior to Winsupply. I do however, have strong
background in honest, hard work, as blazing new trails. I fell in love
with Frederick, so I decided to make it the location of my lighting and
electrical wholesale empire!

April Perkins
Instructor, OSRKKA
April is based in Hagerstown, where her family-run karate school, called
OSRKKA (stands for: Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karatedo Kobudo Academy), is
located. She helps teach and assist her Father, Sensei Eric, receiving her
black belt last December. The school is very traditional to the roots of
karate, bringing mind body and soul together in harmony as well as building
confidence in our students and helping them learn to defend themselves in
these uncertain times. It is a smaller school, personal and patient, willing to
work with you. Unlike a lot of other schools, we do not push belts, we are
more focused on the students perfecting the katas (or techniques) as they
are sometimes called. We allow students to grow at their own pace and
help them along the way. We are willing to teach anyone who wants to
learn for whatever the reason may be. Students who want to dedicate
themselves and stick to their training. This form of martial arts is designed
to be able to be done by anyone, whether you are 5 or 85.
